These last Weeks.

OH Man... These last couple of weeks have been not fun. I have been so sick with this pregnancy, and both Abigail and Thomas have been such troopers. Abigail who kind of understands whats going on is very helpful to me. She just keeps telling me to eat so my stomach can get big. Funny girl. Thomas has been my life saver, I don't know what i would do if i didn't have him. He has made us breakfast lunches, and dinners. helped clean the house and still work during the day. All while i lay on the couch or bed and moan cause I don't feel good. But finally Thomas felt so bad Friday when he came home i couldn't eat anything so he took me to the ER to see about getting a prescription for nausea. After being there for 3 hours giving blood, getting hooked up to a IV, they finally gave a Prescription for Zofran. This stuff has been helping, i was feeling so good sunday that I helped Thomas finish our front yard.
Then something hit me today and i was back to how i felt and it felt terrible worst day so far. I am finally feeling ok now thats It 7 o'clock. I am hoping tomorrow goes ok. I really don't like this part of pregnancy. You feel so blah!!! I envy women who don't get morning sickness. Also I have not baked or even really cooked a dinner in weeks to post. SO hopefully thats changes soon.

ON my death bed!!

So as I am writing this I am trying to make it threw this with out getting to sick. I feel like I have been sick for months but really it only has been couple weeks. But I know what is making this happen to me and I am so excited about it, i just wish I didn't have to get sick with it. SO I am Happy, over joyed, excited to spend the word that Thomas and I are expecting are first child. Yes we have Abigail. But this one will be Thomas's first. I am so excited... The down fall of all this though is Thomas leaves us once again for another deployment in August and my due Date is Nov. 3rd. He will be gone for the birth of his child. I do have to thank god though cause I am so thankful for His family and mine. They will be here with me for the birth. I am so excited for this child to come into our world. I just dislike that I have to get morning sickness (which is all day). Hoping it passes soon and I can get off my death bed! Please pray for us and a healthy baby. Also they way we told are family was cute so i need to share it. Here's a picture we sent parents and siblings and grandparents this in the mail.

Nice Weather!!!

After a Couple rain storms and thunder storms, tornado warnings. WE finally got nice weather like 70 degree weather.. Its been so wonderful to go outside and enjoy it. So Thomas had all these plans for the weekend to go do stuff, truth was he was more excited about His new Jeep then the weather. Thomas bought this Jeep Wrangler couple weeks ago. Finally got it started running, so he wanted to go take it 4 wheeling (which is why he bought it) But 1. I get car sick so don't do good off roading and 2. I don't like getting muddy. But I went along for the ride. And it was fun! Abigail had the most fun. Our jeep got covered in mud.
So on Sunday we decided to plant flowers and fix up are front yard. (should i say thomas fixed up our yard) He did a wonderful job we just need to finish one side then we are done. And of course
Miss Abigail helped tell us where we needed to put things.

We also enjoyed going to the beach, I can't wait for warmer weather so we can go there like everyday. It was Definitely  a nice weekend but of course this weekend is rain. So I am thankful that we did go out while we could.

Cooking

I swear I am cooking. I just haven't been cooking that great of food, or just not one that I thing is good enough to share. I also have been really tired lately so I have been taking naps with Abigail almost everyday and usually thats when i start blogging. If I am lucky i can squeeze it in with her around. She usually is pretty chatty and wants my attention. Which I just love about her. She is always talking about some crazy idea she has. Or some game she made up.
I will post some food soon though. I am going to try to become a Mexican lady for a day and TRY key word "try" to make homemade tortillas. I have been wanting some for weeks now and here in the South (so they say) you can not find good mexican food or tortillas. So today I am going to try to do it. Wish me luck... hahaha. Lucky I have my mexican husband to help me. haha. I'll post it later or tomorrow.

Oh pinterest

So I know you guys all follow pinterest or well most of you. I am in love with the ideas and recipes and crafts I have gotten from there. I decorated my house and got so many ideas from there. I also have tried many recipes too, but one that Thomas and Abigail love is Mozzarella Sticks. They are easy to make and I thing a little healthier then what you get at restaurants. I made them about a month ago and they came out good so yesterday morning I went grocery shopping and thought i would make them for lunch. (now thats because i went grocery shopping hungry) So I am going to tell you the recipe

Mozzarella Sticks
A package of egg roll wraps (picture below)
package of string cheese (12 pack or 18pack will do)
a little bowl of water
frying pan with veg. oil or olive oil

Steps:
1. Get the package of string cheese and pre open every single cheese and set them on a plate or paper towel. Next get you bowl and set in next to the cheese.

2. Get the egg roll wraps out of the package and set them on a paper towel. Set the piece of cheese in the middle of the wrap. Wet each corner with just a tad of water.

3. Grab the corner at the bottom and fold it over the cheese then tuck in both sides. Then roll.

4. Keeping doing that with each roll till all the string cheese is gone.

5. Heat up your frying pan till is it hot and ready to fry. Start putting in the sticks with some tongs. Fry till the are golden brown. Be carful the cheese will ooze out on some of them.
sorry picture not that great but some what the should look like

                                                           egg roll wraps I used

V - DAY

I was trying to figure out what to get Thomas for Valentines day but he keep telling me nothing I am fine. So then we decided not to exchange gifts anyways. I did ask him to make me some dinner, so if he is doing that I had to bake him something. Well last week Abi was eating chocolate covered pretzels and I'm pretty sure Thomas ate most of them. So thats when I was like oh I'll make that for him. Which i thought was going to be a lot more time consuming but it wasn't that bad.

All the stuff I needed was rod pretzels, chocolate chips semi sweet and white morsels, sprinkles

I melted the chocolates in bowls and started dipping and covering the pretzels.

                                                                   My little Helper

I laid them all on a cookie sheet that was cover with parchment paper

I took some of the white chocolate and dyed it pink and drizzled that on top.

The finish project

You know what I really like how nice the came out and so fast. I am going to do this more often. HA : ) Hope you guys enjoy and Happy cooking to you!

Grilling in 50 degree weather

So Thomas loves to grill, any kind of weather he is up for it. Yesterdays weather was cold like bone chilling cold with wind blowing. I kept telling Thomas have been wanting a good hamburger for about a week now. So ours friends had this really good recipe for a burger. It include bacon now calm on who doesn't like bacon with there burger. Well I am calling this burger the double bacon burger on sweet sourdough bread. I watched our friend and Thomas make this burger and I am going to share with you all because it by far was the best I have had.

What you will need.
2 pounds of ground meat. (this made 8 patties)
1 package of normal bacon (will need to be split in half)
1 egg
Lipton Onion mix (picture below)
salt and pepper to taste
Now we added other seasoning but you season to your liking.
toothpicks

Directions
1. Get a nice good medium sized bowl, Mix the ground meat, 1 egg, onion mix, and seasoning together. Get the bacon make sure you leave out enough slices for how many burgers you are making. I left 8 slices to the side. Take the rest of the bacon and chop it up into 1inch piece and mix that into your bowl of meat.
2. Start forming your patties good size. Get all your patties and put them on a cookie sheet spaced apart. Now take the extra bacon you set aside and start wrapping one piece of bacon around a patty and secure it with some toothpicks. Continue  doing that to each patty until all are wrapped in bacon.
3. Go ahead and put the on the grill. Grill them to your taste.
4. Now we used a sweet sourdough bread but any hamburger bread would work. We top it off with a little BBQ sauce. Enjoy!
This is the secret to it

All of them on the grill
(sorry about Thomas drink in the picture I swear we weren't grilling it)

                                                                        close up of it
I meant to take a picture of it all put together but i was so excited about them that I just ate it so fast. But promise you these are good. Enjoy and Happy Grilling to you.
